George is an Associate at LKMco, his work ranging in focus from policy and research to evaluation and project development. He writes regularly about teaching and education policy and his work has been published by the TES and Association for Science Education.
Having studied Astrophysics at university, George went on to work in the financial sector before retraining to become a Physics teacher at The City Academy in Hackney, where he later became Deputy Head of Sixth Form. During this time he became interested in improving university access for traditionally underrepresented groups, especially in STEM subjects, and developing a more rounded curriculum for British schools.
George is currently studying towards an MA in Philosophy of Education at the UCL Institute of Education, as well doing volunteer work for Ashoka UK and the Well-met scheme on Hackney’s Pembury Estate.
