Impact evaluation of their creative writing programme, placing successful writers in disadvantaged schools.
This project involved:
- Careful consideration of how to measure broad outcomes such as confidence, creativity and the extent to which pupils’ horizons were broadened.
- Collection and analysis of a variety of qualitative and quantitative data such as: pupil work; pupil and teacher interviews; baseline and endpoint surveys; and observations.
- Synthesis of findings to produce an overall report that evaluated the extent to which the charity met its aims and the impact it had on pupils, with a follow-up academic publication now in progress.
